KOREA DENIM JACKET AND SHANGHAI KICKS
Happy April! I hope you had a nice start to the cruelest month. No April Fool’s pranks here. Just been enjoying nice weather and lazy days. No complaints. Here’s a casual look that I’ve pretty much been living in: jeans, distressed top, jacket, and sneakers. Do you ever get into phases where a certain trend or outfit combo becomes your uniform? So I’ve been inspired by the staggered hem trend and I badly wanted jeans with a step hem. I specifically eyeballed the ones by Frame, … Continue Reading »
LATE BLOOMER: TRANSITIONING INTO SPRING WITH CAMO AND WINE
Hello and happy Spring! After a few days of glorious warmth and sunshine, early Spring showers in LA are making me reach for the OTK boots and longline sweatshirts that I thought I could put away for the season. This olive and wine (and of course black) color palette is one of my favorites, and I’ll wear it all year long even though it reminds me of gluhwein and Christmas time. SHOP MY IG: OPEN SHOULDER SWEATSHIRT AND CUT-OFFS
Hi! Just a quick post to say hello and to give the deets on shopping one of my recent IG posts. I got a lot of love for this sweatshirt. It’s a basic grayish taupe sweatshirt, but oh so soft! And the round cutout neckline/open shoulder design is perfect for someone like me who doesn’t want to bare too much shoulder. These inexpensive sunnies are awesome. I have trouble finding shades that fit my puffy Asian face, but these have nose clips and … Continue Reading »
NOT GUILTY OF SKATER FASHION APPROPRIATION
Hello! So I wasn’t going to write a blog post about the last “skater-inspired” casual ootd that I posted on Instagram, but I started feeling like I had better write something about skate wear and the ongoing appropriation of skate culture in fashion. In case you weren’t aware, for the past couple of years the fashion world has been obsessing over skateboarding culture. Brands and models have been borrowing skate looks and Thrasher logos for photo shoots and runways, and boards have become the … Continue Reading »
GOING GRAY IN FISHNETS
Hello! We’ve been having unusually cold, rainy, and blustery weather lately. Yesterday (when I shot these pics) we had enough sun and since the rain had let up, I decided to bust out my new shorts. Even though these tights are mesh/fishnet and in no way add much warmth, psychologically I felt like I was wearing an extra layer over my legs. I’m loving the current trend of various fishnet pattern stockings, especially under ripped denim. This top was a gift from my mom. I … Continue Reading »
