Hi! Hope you’re all doing awesome. I wasn’t going to blog this outfit, but decided to just throw up a quick post about the black ASOS asymmetric top and Sam Edelman white booties outfit I posted on IG recently.
I’m not a huge fan of off-shoulder styles, but I love cold shoulder tops. I’m also not a big fan of ruffles–they look amazing on everyone else but too frilly and girlish in an unfitting way on me. But this top seems to work for me because it’s ruffly and open-shouldered with a little bit of edge.
I wore the top unzipped, but zipping it up looks cute too. And the long sleeves make this a perfect top for summer date nights.
I love the asymmetric long length of the top. It’s dramatic and a little dressy looking, even though this outfit is pretty much casual.
I accessorized with a nude-black-white colorblock Prada purse that I found at an amazing price on the preowned market. I love shopping preowned because it’s like splurging without the guilt.
I wanted to try the white boots trend. I thought about painting some boots white, but I felt they wouldn’t come out quite right, especially since I wanted patent leather boots. I fell in love with these Sam Edelman Olette boots, which are sold out everywhere except for Amazon. I sized up 1/2 a size to have room for ankle socks, and the fit is perfect and the boots are so comfortable!
