DENIM BERMUDA SHORTS: CROP TOP AND LAST YEAR’S TRENCH VEST

Hi and happy July! Ah, my birthday month 🙂 Been so busy the past couple of weeks with work things and health things, so I’m happy to finally post a new outfit featuring denim bermuda shorts!

For the past couple of summers I’ve had such a hard time finding cute jean shorts. Most of the styles I tried on were not flattering (hello, pancake butt) or did not provide any coverage (no, I don’t need to put my bum cheeks on display while I’m grabbing a coffee at the neighborhood Starbucks…). So when I saw these denim bermuda shorts with distressing, I had to try them.

The shorts are super comfortable, with a little bit of stretch. I wasn’t familiar with the brand (Cello) when I saw them on the F21 website, so I ordered both the size 0 and size 1. I typically wear size 0 or XS in most brands, and this case was no different. The 0 fit more snug and was more flattering, though the size 1 pair was more comfortable. I chose cuteness over comfort.

I paired the denim bermuda shorts with a black crop top and an awesome layered trench vest that I picked up last year on Amazon (I remember it was one of my first fashion purchases on Amazon).

You know how much I love a staggered step hem on my jeans, so you must know how much I love these uneven frayed hems. Eddie said they look “super frayed,” and my mom asked me why I’m spending money on damaged clothing. She offered to rip some of the old jeans that I left in my bedroom closet at her house, and sell them to me. Haha.

Pretty sure I can wear heels, sneakers, sandals, or boots with these denim bermuda shorts. Anything goes.
