Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a terrific week. Bringing you a pretty simple look today, but since I rarely pair white with white I thought I’d share the look. And the pumps, well, they don’t get worn nearly enough as they should…and since they’re kinda fabulous I think they merit sharing any time. π
Christian Louboutin heels have been my favorite for a while. Like many others, I was attracted to the allure of the gorgeous, shiny red soles when I was first developing my sense of personal style during my post-skateboarding/tomboy days. I think these heels have the prettiest profile and are quite comfortable. Also, the quality is superb as one should expect from the price tag. But interestingly enough, I’m kind of over the red soles! Sometimes they feel too show-offy to me, and even a bit outdated.
I wish CL would make his classic pointed-toe heels (eg, Pigalles or Decolletes) without the pop of red. I’ve even considered replacing the soles with tan ones and painting the red parts beige, but I haven’t quite had the heart to take on such a lamentable project that would break the hearts of most of the fashionistas I know. How do you feel about the beloved red soles, and would you shoot me if I painted them tan?
Thank you so much for reading!

Eeek! Don’t paint the red sole tan! The pop of red actually looks lovely with the pastel, Jenny!

I can see why the red soles can be a bit too much after awhile, but for me personally I really love that pop of red! Great look π white on white is so pretty. I really like how the creamy offwhite of the shirt goes so well with the bright shoes

I LOVE this entire look, Jenny! I love those distressed white skinnies, which give a subtle touch of edge that compliments the other feminine pieces so perfectly! With that, don’t paint the soles! I understand what you mean about them being showy in a sense that they bring immediate attention to the fact that they’re CL’s, but I think it’s such a lovely stamp of luxury and has, in essence, become a trademark to the reputation of the artistic line. Plus, who knew that red could look so great paired against every color and print to exist?! Haha! I’d love… Read more »
